Our communities In the national capital region

Whether it's the condo where you will live out your greatest professional ambitions, the single-family home where you will raise your children or the suite where you will live the hotel life every day, Brigil is with you at every phase of your life, providing you with a full range of residences. 14,000 households accommodated since 1985, on both sides of the Ottawa River, from downtown to the suburbs.

A complete new living environment will be built on Saint-Joseph Boulevard

September 12, 2022

Brigil has received the green light from the City of Gatineau to begin demolition and excavation of the infrastructure at 714 Saint-Joseph Boulevard. Eventually, the obsolete buildings will be replaced by a structuring project of some 230 rental apartments, which will help alleviate the housing crisis that has plagued the region for several years.

A fine example of urban densification on a human scale, the new project will be built in an existing neighbourhood located on an artery that serves as a commercial, residential and cultural destination. In addition to having access to the majority of their essential services within minutes, future residents will be well served by the strong public transit system already in place, reducing their dependence on the automobile.

At Brigil, we aim for happy densification, which means planning new living environments that include public transit, green spaces, businesses and a social mix," explains Jessy Desjardins, Vice President, Development and Design at Brigil. "We want to reduce urban sprawl and alleviate its economic and environmental impacts.

Guided by this concept, Brigil delivered Le Columbia on September 1. This 20-storey residential tower, located at 388 St. Joseph Boulevard, offers 235 new high-end housing units to the population, much to the delight of local merchants in the vicinity.
