COVID-19: Brigil Entirely Supports Government Directives

During this exceptional period surrounding the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, Brigil’s absolute priority is the health and safety of its employees and workers. As Quebec Premier François Legault stipulates, it’s crucial for construction sites to remain operational to stimulate a critical sector of the economy, all while making sure that workers have access to safe work environments.

Without delay and to ensure the collective wellbeing of all, Brigil applied, on the whole of its sites, all recommended measures and government guidelines aimed at reducing infection risks and the spreading of the COVID-19 virus.

In this context, and given that important measures were adopted this week, Brigil’s construction sites will remain operational in Quebec and Ontario.

Brigil continues to monitor the situation closely and will respect all directives issued by various levels of government as things progress.

Over 1,600 units are currently being built on both sides of the river. In Gatineau, Horizon, Le Columbia, Domaine du Vieux-Port, Ambassade Champlain, Plateau du Parc and Tours Lucerne projects. In Ottawa, Parkdale, Petrie’s Landing, Kanata Lakes, Center Park, Baseline, Carleton Crossing and Rockland projects.

Our 130 employees and our subcontractors’ 1,500 workers depend on us and their safety remains our number 1 priority.

M. Gilles Desjardins fully concurs with the messages of the Quebec and Canadian governments and invites his staff, partners and the population at large to keep supporting regional economy and to shop locally.

Brigil will assume its leadership role in the community and will continue to develop major projects aimed at building over 8,000 units in the next 5 years.

Gilles Desjardins

President, Brigil
