1. The Britannia Park and Beach
Soak up the sun at Britannia’s public beach. Beyond the classic beach activities, you can find a restaurant, picnic tables with BBQ’s and a playground. Bonus: the parking is free!

2. Britannia Conservation Area
Just steps from the beach lies a conservation area of 79-hectares filled with forests and wetlands. Explore 5 km of pathways, giving you the opportunity to discover Mud Lake and its biodiversity. Fun fact: it’s also a popular area for birdwatching.

3. Stony Swamp, its Attractions & Trails
Stony Swamp is a preserved area and also the largest forested area that is part of the National Capital Region’s famous Greenbelt. It’s features 40 km of trails alongside a network of beaver ponds, wetlands and forest. More than 560 species of plants have called this place their home.

4. Jack Pine Trail
The Jack Pine Trail is a popular trail network with multiple connecting points. It’s composed of three loops ranging from 0,7 km to 2,3 km. This destination is frequented by occasional walkers due to its easy trails and interpretation panels that accompanies you along the way.

5. The Lime Kiln Trail and The Old Quarry Trails
Discover the relics of the industrial era in Ottawa during the 19 centuries! You can find notably a lime kiln that was restored by the National Capital Commission in 1999. Interesting detail, leashed dogs are welcomed from the 15th of April to the 30th of November.

6. Bruce Pit Dog Park
Speaking of dogs, Stony Swamp has a dog park and allows them to roam free with no leash.

7. Bayshore Shopping Mall
Situated 10 minutes from Baseline, the Bayshore shopping mall has more than 170 boutiques and its food court is the best place to have a bite and shop.
